How to use Chlorine Dioxide?
Chlorine Dioxide can be used as Liquid, Spray or gas/vapor.

How to Use Chlorine Dioxide Tablets in your SPA / HOT TUBS and POOLS:
Add the proper dose of SPA-CLO2 directly to the water in several places with the pump running. After adding the tablets, keep the pump running for 10 minutes.
For best results, add tablets in the evening or at night as chlorine dioxide is sensitive to UV lights.
It is advised to maintain 1 to 3 ppm in your hot tub.
- First time use: Use a dosage of 5 PPM when adding to old water.
- If you use your Hot Tub daily, it is advised to add 1 to 2 ppm daily.
- With a dosage of 3 PPM, your water should stay clear for 3 to 5 days.
- The first few weeks your Hot Tub might use more chlorine dioxide, mainly if you have a lot of biofilm in your piping.

How to Remove any smell from a Car:
Gas Method:
- Close all doors and windows.
- Add 20 to 25 tablets to about 1 to 2 oz of water in a small plastic/glass container.
- Do not breathe the gas / vapor coming out, leave the vehicle as soon as possible. It is advised to wear a mask.
- For larger SUV or Semi Cabins, you can place one container in front and another one in the back / cargo area.
- Leave the chlorine dioxide gas 30 minutes to a few hours (the longer the better, like overnight is perfect).
- At the end of the process it is recommended to run the Fan or Air Conditioning at Maximum with Air Recirculation On for 20 minutes.
- Open all doors and Air out for another 20 minutes or until you have no more smell of chlorine dioxide.

How to Remove any smell from a Room / Building:
The dosage will mainly depend on the type of smell (smoke smell being the strongest) but also on the amount of humidity in the room. The higher the humidity the better chlorine dioxide works.
As a rule of thumb, 1 bag of 500 grams covers about 500 square feet.
Gas Method:
- Close all outside doors, windows, shades, curtains (no sunlight should enter the room/house/building), aeration/ventilation.
- If you can not close the ventilation, seal it with tape.
- Leave the inside closet/bathroom door opened.
- Remove any pets and plants.
- Place a recipient like a plastic bucket in the middle of the room with about 2 cups / 0.5 liter of water.
- Add the tablets in the water.
- The regular dosage is 250 tablets (250 grams/half a bag) for 2 cups / 0.5 liter of water.
- 250 tablets (250 grams/half a bag) will cover about 250 square feet.
- If your room is 1000 square feet, place 4 buckets equally in the room, and in each bucket add 250 tablets in 1 quart of water.
- Do not breathe the gas coming out, you can also wear a mask or a gas mask better. Leave the rooms asap, and close the door behind you.
- Chlorine Dioxide Gas is generated immediately and you do not need aerators/ventilators/pumps/airstones to disperse the gas…
- Close the door (you can also seal the door with tape, so chlorine dioxide smell does not spread in other parts of your home). Leave the clo2 gas for 24 hours or more depending on the severity.
- Open all doors, windows, ventilation to air-out. It could be from 30 minutes to a few hours depending on the ventilation. Basements usually need 6 hours to air out due to lack of ventilation and windows.
- Before re-occupying the room, if you smell a chlorine-like odor, continue to air-out the room.
- ClO2 gas application does not require any rinsing or wiping. Simply air out the confined space before re-occupying it.
How to Remove Mold and Mold Smell from a Room / Building:
The removal of Mold is a 2 steps process.
1 – Spraying process – 2000 ppm (only if you have visible mold):
- Add 75 tablets for 1 Gallon of water.
- Spray heavily on the walls/ceilings where you have mold.
- It is advised to wear a mask during the spraying process due the vapor of chlorine dioxide.
- After 30 minutes you can remove the dead mold spore with a sponge or rag.

Practicing good food hygiene is an important health habit. Washing fresh produce with chlorine dioxide helps eliminate surface germs and residues that could make you sick.
How to Wash Fruits & Veggies with Chlorine Dioxide:
Clean all surfaces and utensils, including cutting boards and knives, before and after preparing fruits and vegetables with 100 ppm.
Soak Method
The soaking method is ideal for fresh-cut herbs, leafy greens, soft berries, grape clusters, broccoli bunches, and other produce with lots of nooks and crannies. Use a clean container, basin, bowl or sink for soaking. Fill with cold water, add 1 tablet. Place produce in the water-filled container and let soak for at least 3 minutes. Remove produce from water and place it in a clean colander. Allow the produce to drain and then let air dry before storing it.
Spray Method
The spray method is a good option for produce with firm skin and smooth shape, like apples, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, peppers, eggplant, etc. Add 1 tablet in a 33oz spray, then spray over produce while removing dirt and residue. Allow produce to air dry before storing.
You can also apply the same method to your Chicken, Meat and Fish!
